Mom, seriously, another picture?
Before I fell in love with photography and the excitement of capturing amazing moments, I always wondered how long I would remember the little memories over the years that weren't photographed. Ever since I was little, forced smiles and awkward poses were always apart of family events. My parents responded to me and my siblings' moaning by saying, "we want to remember these days as you get older." Looking back at these photos now, it's difficult to remember the memories I made at that party or family holiday. The picture to me looked like any other photo that we were forced to smile for. But what if pictures could be more than that? What if one picture could take you back to a moment you never want to forget? These pictures are what I strive to capture and share with the world. To me the best pictures are the ones that take you back to the moments of your life. The moments that were not posed, forced, and were truly real. The moments when you felt alive.
